65: time to hit the road

Last full day in Santiago.

I’m starting to understand how moths must feel - the sun traces an arc across the northern sky, shadows point to the south! Wtf? It still moves east-to-west, but the arc is somehow reversed: the diagonal movement is up in the AM and down in the PM. Having trouble walking in a straight line…..

Anyway.

Usual breakfast at Cafe 56, then off to the shopping districts along Avenidas Moneda and Huérfanos:

Afternoon, ventured out farther afield than we had before, to Barrio Italia. Quite different - older, single story, but upgraded in an interesting style. Recommended:

Trippy pedestrian traffic signals, eh:

OK. Walked 9 miles (mostly out to Barrio Italia). Tomorrow we bus to Valparaiso.
