65: time to hit the road

Smaller town, Inca stronghold, starting point for treks to Machu Picchu. Spent 2 full days here:

Stayed in a renovated Inca house, very cool:

Hiked up to an Incan granary - perched high up the cliff to keep it cool:

Took a guided tour up the other side to the Temple of the Sun and beyond (archaelogical site Ollantaytambo):

Took a guided tour to the Maras salt mines:

And the Moray Inca argicultural site:

And textile making as well as another Incan site at Chinchero:
