65: time to hit the road

Today's neighborhood: Bernal Heights..

Leslie left in the AM for LG; dropped me at Lowe's in the no-man's-land that is Bayshore Blvd, to return the shower curtain rod that didn't work after all. $20 in my pocket, woohoo!

Walked under 101 into Bernal Hts. Right off the bat, in kind of an industrial section, is this..

On up the hill; south-east slope kinda shitty..

..but keep going west, south slope is quite nice, traditional but gentrified like a lot of SF..

Coffee on the main drag: Cortland Ave..

On up the hill, capped by some sort of comm station & an open-space park with noticeable outlooks..

Then down the western slope toward Noe Valley..

And back on the bus. My senior citizenship is paying dividends: $1.25 for a normally $2.50 ride!
