65: time to hit the road

I am in Sidney, British Columbia, having delivered the yacht Nai'a from SF.

I am here waiting for some work to be done on her. When complete, I will deliver her to Point Roberts WA, where she will winter, and go home.

I don't know when that will be; I'm spending the time exploring Vancouver Island.

Day 1: Saturday.

Alan left @ 10; Jeff & I did a practice run out the harbor, coupla donuts & back; he left @ 12.

First order of business: do nothing. It's 70 degrees & sunny, apparently that's unusual..

Second order of business: arrange to use one of the marina's bicycles. BTW, Monday is Thanksgiving in BC, so most services are shut down Sun & Mon. So I got the bike lock for the duration. Yes..

It's a 10 min ride into downtown Sidney. You pass a couple of roadside store/eateries, and a nice city park (with library next door) on the way..

Stop for coffee, best (of about 1/2 dozen) Thai restaurant for dinner, back to camp..
